Summer Unplugged

Remember MTV's Unplugged?
Eric Clapton was on it, Mariah Carey.
Am I showing my age?

Well I want to tell you about Summer Unplugged.
What are you talking about you say?

I am talking about AMF's Summer Unplugged where kids, 16 & under, bowl...for free!
Hello!
Score!

I don't know about your children but mine love to bowl.
Especially Cheeks.
We had his 4th bday party at the bowling alley, one that participates in Summer Unplugged, last year.  He had a blast, as did the other kiddos.

Bobster's family are huge bowlers.  His dad holds some world record for something or another.  I'm very technical, I know but I can't remember what it is for the life of me.  Bobster's brother was even offered to go pro & my nephew, Dan-o, bowls on his high school team & has been featured in our local paper.  So yes, bowling is in the blood of the boys.  Me, well I think my average is like 85 but hey, I love it!

Who bowls in your family? The whole fam? This would be a great way to spend some family time together over the summer.  Especially when it's hot & sticky out.  This way you get everyone off their tushies & get to exercise in a climate controlled environment...I'm all about the a/c peeps.

Do you have any tips for me? Dh has tried to teach me to bowl...the right way...I just bowl for fun tho.

Now with Summer Unplugged I will be visiting the alley more often.  The bowling alley, get your minds out of the gutter...although I hear you can make decent money in the alley during the summer.  Just sayin.

Leave me a comment with what you & your fam like to do over the summer.
Maybe it will give me inspiration!

Caio!

Nessie & Me...a Review & a #Giveaway

Need a cute movie for the little ones to watch, this is the one. Cheeks & I watched it, we liked it, albeit a bit young for my 10 year old boy.  I would say good age range for kids is maybe 3 to 7. Here's a bit about the movie: The Loch Ness Monster has been back in the news following a recent sighting and resurfaced pictures, just in time for the release of family movie  “Nessie & Me,”  which is now available on DVD & VOD, courtesy of Vision Films! When 9-year-old Jamie moves to a beautiful lakeside village, he befriends a grumpy old sea captain who tells him of the lake’s mythical creature named Nessie. The townsfolk don’t believe him, but Jamie wonders if Nessie can be the solution to save the town from a greedy mogul who is buying up land around the lake… if only he can prove that Nessie is real. But sometimes it takes a little bit of magic, and with the help of a mermaid, a treasure map and an unlikely friendship with Nessie the Sea Monster, ...

Green Giant: Raise A Giant (Giveaway too)

At Green Giant® we know it takes a lot more to raise a healthy child then just getting them to eat their vegetables. Kids these days live in a world that is bigger and scarier than the world we grew up in, and they need help and encouragement to navigate that world with confidence and pride. Unfortunately one of the hardest things kids have to deal with is bullying. When a child is bullied by a peer it can turn his or her life into a daily gauntlet of fear and anxiety. That’s why Green Giant® is partnering with PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center and We Day Minnesota to help parents Raise A Giant and put a stop to bullying in their community. What Does it Mean To Be A Giant? Being a giant isn’t about being the biggest or the best. Being a giant means standing up for others. It means lending a hand to those who are in trouble and speaking up for those who sometimes find it hard to speak up for themselves. Studies show that an effective way...
