Kelly-Confidential

Do you like splits?
No, not the kind that cheerleaders & girls that dance on a pole do
BUT
The kind that is yummy, yummy in your tummy!
That's right.....Banana Splits.
YUM!

Well, Kelly Ripa and Electrolux are joining forces once again to celebrate the launch of Electrolux Appliance's new stand-alone refrigerator and freezer - that's right, the familiar duo has split up. And to sweeten the celebration, they're bringing in the "Emperor of Ice Cream" Stephen Bruce, owner and founder of Serendipity 3, the landmark New York City restaurant and dessert spot, into the mix.

Kelly and Bruce teamed up earlier today to make banana splits for a cause. And now we want you to dig in, with your virtual spoon! Starting today, at www.Kelly-Confidential.com, you can build your ultimate banana split using virtual ingredients from classic whipped cream to caramel sauce to rainbow sprinkles. For each "split", Electrolux will donate $1 to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund as part of its $750,000 commitment to help fight ovarian cancer.

As usual, Electrolux and Kelly find new and fun ways to say thank you to those who support this great cause. Everyone who logs on to the site and builds a split will be automatically entered for a chance to win the daily prize - $50 towards sweet summer treats - and the grand prize: the new stand-alone refrigerator and freezer from Electrolux.

Ok, how much fun is all that?
First, you are helping out Ovarian Cancer Research & second, you get to build a split & get entered to win great prizes.
Hello!
No brainer!!
Go check it out!

I am also going to sweeten the deal.
As a little incentive I am going to select one person who builds a split & then comments on this blog what kind of split you build, to win a $25 American Express gift card.

Oh, that's right.
$25 American Express gift card can be in your hot little hands all for building splits & helping Ovarian Cancer Research.

So get to building, then leave me a comment with what you built.
For a second entry, follow my blog.
For a third entry, post about this Electrolux/Kelly-Confidential fun fund raiser on twitter/facebook & leave me a comment with the link to it.

Have fun!

This giveaway is open 'til July 16th @ 8pm est.

*For participating in this campaign I was provided with my own $25 Amex gift card from Mom Select & BSM Media.  All opinions & excitement are my own!*

Nessie & Me...a Review & a #Giveaway

Need a cute movie for the little ones to watch, this is the one. Cheeks & I watched it, we liked it, albeit a bit young for my 10 year old boy.  I would say good age range for kids is maybe 3 to 7. Here's a bit about the movie: The Loch Ness Monster has been back in the news following a recent sighting and resurfaced pictures, just in time for the release of family movie  “Nessie & Me,”  which is now available on DVD & VOD, courtesy of Vision Films! When 9-year-old Jamie moves to a beautiful lakeside village, he befriends a grumpy old sea captain who tells him of the lake’s mythical creature named Nessie. The townsfolk don’t believe him, but Jamie wonders if Nessie can be the solution to save the town from a greedy mogul who is buying up land around the lake… if only he can prove that Nessie is real. But sometimes it takes a little bit of magic, and with the help of a mermaid, a treasure map and an unlikely friendship with Nessie the Sea Monster, ...

VTech Voices ~ Family Reading Night & Giveaway!!!

That's right everyone. This week being part of the VTech Voices team is allowing me to bring you a cool giveaway. Of course, you are going to have to do a bit of work to get it. First let's see what we are playing for: "OOOH! AAAH!" I'm not kidding when I say this VTech Reader is freaking awesome! Not only will you win one of those, you will get a "game" with it. Woo hoo! Here's what you need to do. You need to come up with your very own Family Reading Night. It's where the whole fam (or as many are at home) sit down & read together. Sort of like a Family Home Evening for those LDSers in the crowd (HOLLA!). I did this with my lil guy & my nephew just last night. We layed on my bed and they each took turns holding the reader & playing the games that come after the story. It got a little confusing for a bit because, well let's face it they are almost 4 & 4.5yrs old so they are learning about not yelling out an...
