Real photos, real review: Immaculate Baking Cake Mix

I was lucky enough to recently get to review a new brand of cake mix, available at Target!, called Immaculate Baking . It was created by artists who wanted something all natural.  All natural is what they got.  I was glad to see I could pronounce all ingredients (big plus!) and everything was in it's natural form.  Absolutely no chemicals, preservatives or artificial colors.  I've been trying to give the fam more wholesome foods and this definitely fits the bill.  This cake required absolutely no oil, like a lot of mixes. I had to add 4 eggs, 1/3rd cup of milk and 1.5 sticks of butter.   It mixed up easy peasy and I popped it in the oven for 30 mins.  Figured we would have it for dessert that evening. I used milk chocolate icing.  See...viola!: Look at that ice job...I am so the next Cake Boss...Buddy! Move over!!! It was just for the family so I didn't have to make it perfect, I just had to make it taste good. Consensus is: ...

Old El Paso..Mexi Night at Meg's House...Holla!

Tonight was the perfect night for me to try the new Old El Paso frozen entrees they've come out with. It was just me & Cheeks.  I reheated some angel hair pasta for him (with butter & cheese, thank you) & for me I broke out some new frozen Old El Paso Chicken Quesadillas. They look yummy, no? The box states meal for two. Sure, if you aren't Bobster or a 15yo teenage boy. It was just me so I took one out. Viola! Serving size is 2 of these. I only took one out because I wasn't that hungry.  Imagine that...I know...it's a fluke! I then took a gander at the directions and saw it was only for the microwave.  Meh, I actually prefer oven cooking because 9 times out of 10 when you cook in a microwave it doesn't come out very pretty.  Timing was 2 mins 15 secs.  Turned it on, it beeped & again...Viola! I was spot on with what I said it would like coming out of the microwave. Despite it's appearance, it was really good.  The c...

Cheerios, The Justice League & Target

Three of my fav things. Cheerios...oh so good. The Justice League...Yes, I've become a big ole superhero dork...thanks to the boys in my life. Target...do I have to explain? Check it out: See that Exclusive Comic Book inside. I thought Cheeks was going to burst. Then I thought I would burst because now he will eat the yummy, good for Cheerios plus read while he does it. It doesn't get much better than that for the  mom of a second grader who says he doesn't like to read. Put a superhero in the book & he will devour it. Cheerios, to me, is the epitome of good, old fashion, wholesome cereal. Target, to me, is the mother ship...you too? It was nice for the three favs in my life to team up to bring good healthy food to the masses. Are you a Cheerios fan? A Justice League fan? A Target fan? Let me know and make sure you get your Cheerios with the comic book inside!

Target has new Big G cereal flavors? Say it isn't so!

Check it out peeps & geeks! Target is now carrying the new BigG flavors of some classic cereals. Fiber One Protein Multi Gram Cheerios Dark Chocolate Crunch Chocolate Toast Crunch...SCORE! Of course, being a 43 year old woman who has the palate of a 7yo, I went right to the Chocolate Toast Crunch. For the love of all that is Holy, this is gooooooooooooood! It's chocolate goodness with a hint of cinnamon. Yum! Not to mention it stays crispy, doesn't get soggy. Bobster went for the Dark Chocolate Crunch Cheerios. He was not disappointed. I was glad to see he was eating something that was good for him. Good for the heart and multi grain. Good source of fiber if you ask me. I would like to say that we ate these for breakfast but being a typical busy family, we are on the go in the morning.  Snack time it is then. I'm proud to say I finished the Chocolate Toast Crunch box in like 3 days. Should I be proud? Hmm...now that I see it in writing I'm no...
