Things You Can't Take Book Tour & #Giveaway

Things You Can't Take
by Erin Lockwood
Genre: Contemporary Fiction

How far would you go for your best friend....

Abigail and Kessia shared a childhood bond that couldn't be broken. Challenged, yes—but never broken.

Born into Hollywood lineage, Kessia understood the risks and pressures of celebrity life and willingly dedicated hers to serving and protecting her best friend’s rise to stardom. But when Abigail learns of Kessia’s own behind-the-scenes battles with a predator, her sense of friendship drives her down a path that blurs the lines between loyalty and revenge at all costs.

Erin Lockwood grew up in Castro Valley, California and attended the University of Oregon, where she graduated in 2003 with a degree in journalism. From there she moved to Denver and spent the next seven years searching for the love of her life and building the family of her dreams.

It wasn’t long until, with children starting preschool and more time on her hands, Erin refocused on her career, beginning with a successful entry into the world of residential real estate as a Realtor. Free time was spent reading book after book (and binge-watching the subsequent films) in the New Adult genre. Feeling hopelessly in love with her husband, she wrote him a short story leading up to their fifth wedding anniversary. That’s when she discovered her tireless passion to share her experience of falling in love through fictional characters. That story evolved into the first novel in the Angles trilogy.

Erin still lives in Denver, Colorado with her husband, Phil, and their three children.

Vtech Voices bring you: Tips For Encouraging Our Kids to Read

Hola readers! I want to talk to you about this great VTech V.reader again. I love it. Recently, my son & I received the Toy Story 3 game to go in the reader. OMG! He hasn't put it down. At all. He's asked to take it to bed with him & in the tub. Since it isn't water proof & I would like him to sleep I have had to deny him this luxury. One thing that I am finding that is working on him constantly wanting to play with his reader is I do not turn the tv on. Nope. Not on. When we come home at the end of the day, I make sure the reader is left somewhere he can see it, I walk past the tv w/o turning it on & he spies the reader. He then asks to use it. Sits on the floor behind our coffee table & reads, reads, reads. I hear him giggling as I cook dinner. The VTech V.reader definitely keeps him engaged! Guess what?!? I have another VTech V.reader to giveaway. Holla! All you need to do is post your tip on how to get your kids to read! T...

Nessie & Me...a Review & a #Giveaway

Need a cute movie for the little ones to watch, this is the one. Cheeks & I watched it, we liked it, albeit a bit young for my 10 year old boy.  I would say good age range for kids is maybe 3 to 7. Here's a bit about the movie: The Loch Ness Monster has been back in the news following a recent sighting and resurfaced pictures, just in time for the release of family movie  “Nessie & Me,”  which is now available on DVD & VOD, courtesy of Vision Films! When 9-year-old Jamie moves to a beautiful lakeside village, he befriends a grumpy old sea captain who tells him of the lake’s mythical creature named Nessie. The townsfolk don’t believe him, but Jamie wonders if Nessie can be the solution to save the town from a greedy mogul who is buying up land around the lake… if only he can prove that Nessie is real. But sometimes it takes a little bit of magic, and with the help of a mermaid, a treasure map and an unlikely friendship with Nessie the Sea Monster, ...
