After losing her parents, fourteen-year-old Annabel Coleridge lives with her fisherman grandfather on a Caribbean island paradise surrounded by an extended family of loving but quirky oddballs and her best friend, a dolphin named Mitzy. Everything changes when her rich maternal grandparents arrive with a shifty lawyer to bring her back to New York. My entire family sat down to watch this movie after dinner. We are a middle aged cutie pie mom (that's me!), my parents (70ish) & my 14yo teen boy. I, for sure, thought the teen would leave within 15 minutes. He stayed & enjoyed the whole movie.

It has such a sweet plot and really wholesome characters. You can see the bond between Anna & her grandfather. Plus the dolphin appears within minutes of the films opening...squeal!

Need a cute movie for the little ones to watch, this is the one. Cheeks & I watched it, we liked it, albeit a bit young for my 10 year old boy. I would say good age range for kids is maybe 3 to 7.
