Wanna raise an Einstein? Then check out this giveaway!

When Cheeks was little we had a few Baby Einstein dvd's floating around the house.
He loved them!
As did I.
Baby Einstein is definitely not a company that makes mindless babble for a baby to watch.

I know some are opposed to tv for little ones but I believe all things in moderation...unless it's donuts, then game on for everyone.

I digress.

Here's the "official" release:
Baby Einstein, an award-winning leader of infant products, proudly adds three new products – Baby Lullaby, Neptune’s Oceans & World of Rhythm - to its line-up of recently unveiled Baby Einstein Discovery Kitson February 22, 2011. Baby Einstein Discovery Kits, which are specifically designed for babies up to two-years of age, help parents introduce babies to the beautiful worlds of classical music, nature and the arts through integrated multimedia kits.
Baby Einstein Discovery Kits (which are each packaged to include a Baby Einstein DVD, a music CD and either a book or Discovery Cards) are designed to help provide parents with new ways to introduce their little ones to the world around them in playful and engaging ways. The kits not only promote discovery and inspire baby’s natural curiosities but they also encourage parents to look to their everyday experiences as a way to extend content beyond just the kit.

All multimedia elements included in the kit compliment the other, inviting little eyes and little ears to enjoy the bright colors, real-world images, fun puppet shows and delightful melodies featured either in the DVD, CD, baby book or Discovery Cards. Discovery Kits align with a baby’s path from infant to toddler by offering three broad levels of discovery -- Experience (Level 1), Explore (Level 2) and Expression (Level 3). Level 1 kits are about experiencing music, utilizing popular classical music works by Beethoven, Mozart, Bach and others, re-orchestrated for little ears and enhanced with simple baby-friendly images and puppet shows. Level 2 kits invite babies to explore the outdoors and focus on animals found in nature, the ocean and around the home. Level 3 kits feature puppet hosts including Coco the dancing cockatoo, Vincent Van Goat and Bard the Dragon, and give toddlers a platform to move and express themselves through music, colors and words.

The new Baby Lullaby, Neptune’s Oceans & World of RhythmDiscovery Kits join six recently released titles (Baby Beethoven, Baby Mozart, Animals Around Me, Wild Animal Safari, World of Colors and World of Words) bringing the collection to nine total. Kits can be found at stores across the U.S. and Canada only and/or online at BabyEinsteinand retail for the suggested price of $19.99 U.S./$24.99 Canada.

Nessie & Me...a Review & a #Giveaway

Need a cute movie for the little ones to watch, this is the one. Cheeks & I watched it, we liked it, albeit a bit young for my 10 year old boy.  I would say good age range for kids is maybe 3 to 7. Here's a bit about the movie: The Loch Ness Monster has been back in the news following a recent sighting and resurfaced pictures, just in time for the release of family movie  “Nessie & Me,”  which is now available on DVD & VOD, courtesy of Vision Films! When 9-year-old Jamie moves to a beautiful lakeside village, he befriends a grumpy old sea captain who tells him of the lake’s mythical creature named Nessie. The townsfolk don’t believe him, but Jamie wonders if Nessie can be the solution to save the town from a greedy mogul who is buying up land around the lake… if only he can prove that Nessie is real. But sometimes it takes a little bit of magic, and with the help of a mermaid, a treasure map and an unlikely friendship with Nessie the Sea Monster, ...

VTech Voices ~ Family Reading Night & Giveaway!!!

That's right everyone. This week being part of the VTech Voices team is allowing me to bring you a cool giveaway. Of course, you are going to have to do a bit of work to get it. First let's see what we are playing for: "OOOH! AAAH!" I'm not kidding when I say this VTech Reader is freaking awesome! Not only will you win one of those, you will get a "game" with it. Woo hoo! Here's what you need to do. You need to come up with your very own Family Reading Night. It's where the whole fam (or as many are at home) sit down & read together. Sort of like a Family Home Evening for those LDSers in the crowd (HOLLA!). I did this with my lil guy & my nephew just last night. We layed on my bed and they each took turns holding the reader & playing the games that come after the story. It got a little confusing for a bit because, well let's face it they are almost 4 & 4.5yrs old so they are learning about not yelling out an...
