Uknow Kids ~ Info & Giveaway!

If you are a parent, a grandparent, aunt, uncle, teacher or anyone who wants to help protect kids, you need this program.

It's Uknowkids.com.

What's it about, Schmeggy? you ask.

Read on!

The concept of uKnow.com was born in June of 2009. The team developed an online service that makes it easier for you to connect to your child’s digital world. Our technology helps protect kids from predators, bullies and sexting. Unlike parental control software, uKnow.com enables parents to “have their child’s back” without constantly looking over their shoulder. By giving parents the information they need to educate and engage their children about staying safe online and smarter tools to supervise their children in a digital world, uKnow.com helps make technology safer for kids and less intimidating for parents. And by supplementing this proactive approach to parenting social and mobile kids with a notification and reporting system to inform parents if their child becomes intertwined in a risky situation, uKnow.com provides parents with uniquely smart tools to help keep our kids safe.

The owner & creator of Uknow.com created this site because his own son became a target of a child predator!

I love this program because you, the parent, monitor everything your child does on the internet.  This is definitely something we use in the Meghan's Mindless Muttering Household for sure!  With 3 boys, 2 who are under 18, it's definitely needed.

Uknow.com is allowing me to giveaway a code for a membership to it's programs.

I highly recommend entering the giveaway to win.  It's win-win for you & your kids!

Check out the video explaining the concept:

So now it's time to enter the giveaway so you can win the code to start protecting your child.

Smurfs: The Lost Village & Psst...a lightening fast Giveaway too!

Smurfs: The Lost Village is coming out April 7th.  That's this weekend.
I don't know about you but I remember when the Smurfs first appeared on the scene.  Way back in the 80's...that's early 80's mind you.  I think I just gave away my age.  Yes, I am that old I remember the original gang.  I even had little Smurf toys.  One was a police officer.  That was because my dad was a police officer.
Enough reminiscing, I am so excited that the Smurfs have stood the test of time and the my child gets to experience them.  At 10 years old, he still likes them.  His favorite Smurf...Papa.  So we are definitely heading to opening weekend to see Smurfs: The Lost Village.
Let us see what this film is all about:
In this fully animated, all-new take on the Smurfs, a mysterious map sets Smurfette and her best friends Brainy, Clumsy and Hefty on an exciting and thrilling race through the Forbidden Forest filled with magical creatures to find a mysterious lost village before the evil …

Nessie & Me...a Review & a #Giveaway

Need a cute movie for the little ones to watch, this is the one.
Cheeks & I watched it, we liked it, albeit a bit young for my 10 year old boy.  I would say good age range for kids is maybe 3 to 7.

Here's a bit about the movie:

The Loch Ness Monster has been back in the news following a recent sighting and resurfaced pictures, just in time for the release of family movie “Nessie & Me,” which is now available on DVD & VOD, courtesy of Vision Films!
When 9-year-old Jamie moves to a beautiful lakeside village, he befriends a grumpy old sea captain who tells him of the lake’s mythical creature named Nessie. The townsfolk don’t believe him, but Jamie wonders if Nessie can be the solution to save the town from a greedy mogul who is buying up land around the lake… if only he can prove that Nessie is real. But sometimes it takes a little bit of magic, and with the help of a mermaid, a treasure map and an unlikely friendship with Nessie the Sea Monster, Jamie and the people of Lak…
