It's Here: #HintingSeason & LG OLED TV now at Best Buy

First, let me tell you, I never gave HD tv a thought.  My husband was always like "Meg, we have to have it! Meg, it's wonderful, let's get it".  Well I caved and got the service.

I never watched the channels that came in HD...till one fateful day.
That day I never looked back.
The clarity was amazing.
I was converted.

Of course, my family are big television watchers and we like it so we feel like we are at the movies.

Thanks to Best Buy this Holiday Season, all that will be missing is the stickiness you get on a movie theater floor.  Wait, I can achieve that stickiness...I live with all messy boys!

Anyway check out LGOLED at Bestbuy.com and feast your eyes on this.

Best Buy’s everyday price of $3499.99 (save $500)

What an awesome family gift!!!

What is OLED tv you ask?

Check it out:

Your first kiss. A baby's first steps. The majesty of a desert sunset. Some things in life defy all explanation and must be experienced to be believed. Such is the case with LG's latest display technology. With deeper and richer colors, stunning contrast and ingeniously curved screens, it is unlike any technology you've ever seen, and it delivers a picture that exceeds your wildest imagination.

For my family this makes a great gift...why?

1.  We can watch hockey games in vivid color and feel like we are really there! (Go Flyers! Go Avalanche! Yes are a split family)
2.  We can watch NFL football (STEELERS!)
3.  Movies will feel like we are there.  Pop the popcorn, curl up under a blanket, snuggle and get that movie quality from the comfort of your own home.
4.  My husband will be able to watch the dirt races and see it all.  He can feel like he's there.
5.  I can watch my show, Once Upon a Time, and get a wonderful, feel like I can touch him look at Cap't Hook.  (Come on, you know he one hunk of a man! Hook & all.)

Plus between the curved screen (makes watching from anywhere in the room a great experience) and the Magic Remote with Voice Control this is a must have for everyone. Voice controlled remote? Who would have thought!

Meg,Your Uncle Bob and I have been in the market for a new tv for quite awhile. This one here looks like it would be great! We will definitely check it out when the time is right. By the way, Best Buys is usually where we go to get our electronics.

I swear the pictures are jumping out of the screen. Sometimes it bothers me when I watch shows that are in HD, because it seems like I am just there. I need to adjust my eyes, but I will get used to it. Thanks for sharing.

Nessie & Me...a Review & a #Giveaway

Need a cute movie for the little ones to watch, this is the one. Cheeks & I watched it, we liked it, albeit a bit young for my 10 year old boy.  I would say good age range for kids is maybe 3 to 7. Here's a bit about the movie: The Loch Ness Monster has been back in the news following a recent sighting and resurfaced pictures, just in time for the release of family movie  “Nessie & Me,”  which is now available on DVD & VOD, courtesy of Vision Films! When 9-year-old Jamie moves to a beautiful lakeside village, he befriends a grumpy old sea captain who tells him of the lake’s mythical creature named Nessie. The townsfolk don’t believe him, but Jamie wonders if Nessie can be the solution to save the town from a greedy mogul who is buying up land around the lake… if only he can prove that Nessie is real. But sometimes it takes a little bit of magic, and with the help of a mermaid, a treasure map and an unlikely friendship with Nessie the Sea Monster, ...

VTech Voices ~ Family Reading Night & Giveaway!!!

That's right everyone. This week being part of the VTech Voices team is allowing me to bring you a cool giveaway. Of course, you are going to have to do a bit of work to get it. First let's see what we are playing for: "OOOH! AAAH!" I'm not kidding when I say this VTech Reader is freaking awesome! Not only will you win one of those, you will get a "game" with it. Woo hoo! Here's what you need to do. You need to come up with your very own Family Reading Night. It's where the whole fam (or as many are at home) sit down & read together. Sort of like a Family Home Evening for those LDSers in the crowd (HOLLA!). I did this with my lil guy & my nephew just last night. We layed on my bed and they each took turns holding the reader & playing the games that come after the story. It got a little confusing for a bit because, well let's face it they are almost 4 & 4.5yrs old so they are learning about not yelling out an...
