Yummy in my Tummy

For those of you who have been reading both of my blogs, you probably know Cheeks has ADHD.  So along with some medicine I am in the process of changing not just his but all of the family's diets.  Much to their chagrin but buck up family, it's good for you.

Recently I had the chance to try some Yummy Health products.

I was excited because these are good for you foods that taste good.  What more could a mom want?  Well a non picky eater for one thing, which I have the ultimate picky eater.

Needless to say he wouldn't try the Yummy Chocolate Bar or the Yummy Snack Chips.

Fine.
Suit yourself.

I'll try them.

I tried the Snack Chips first.  I did sneak them into Cheeks lunch bag for a snack.  He brought them home opened with just two eaten.  I can't say I blame him on that.  The snack chips were not my favorite.  They are 90% cheese, which is awesome.  It's just both Cheeks and I felt they were really powerful flavor.

I like my cheese, as does my 6yo, but these snack chips are dense with cheesy flavor.  Almost like the cheese had been sitting around for a while.  Not my favorite item.

I was sent three samples, and tried all three.  Just not my thing.

Now the Yummy Chocolate Bar...HELLO!  Couldn't taste better.

Imagine my surprise when I bit into it and it tasted like an Almond Joy.  Bring on the chocolate! Yes please! Uno mas por favor.

These are perfect for a mid-morning snack.  They held me over til lunch and tasted so yummy I was disappointed I only brought one with me.  All about moderation though.

Cheeks, he wouldn't touch it.
I have my hands full but remember picky eater is an understatement.

I will definitely buy the Yummy Chocolate bars.  I think to get Cheeks to try them I will remove the wrapper & just use plastic wrap.  He will gobble it up then!

Have you tried anything by Yummy Health?
If so, what?  I'm dying to know!

*Disclaimer: I did not receive compensation for this post.  However I did receive samples to try*

Nessie & Me...a Review & a #Giveaway

Need a cute movie for the little ones to watch, this is the one. Cheeks & I watched it, we liked it, albeit a bit young for my 10 year old boy.  I would say good age range for kids is maybe 3 to 7. Here's a bit about the movie: The Loch Ness Monster has been back in the news following a recent sighting and resurfaced pictures, just in time for the release of family movie  “Nessie & Me,”  which is now available on DVD & VOD, courtesy of Vision Films! When 9-year-old Jamie moves to a beautiful lakeside village, he befriends a grumpy old sea captain who tells him of the lake’s mythical creature named Nessie. The townsfolk don’t believe him, but Jamie wonders if Nessie can be the solution to save the town from a greedy mogul who is buying up land around the lake… if only he can prove that Nessie is real. But sometimes it takes a little bit of magic, and with the help of a mermaid, a treasure map and an unlikely friendship with Nessie the Sea Monster, ...

VTech Voices ~ Family Reading Night & Giveaway!!!

That's right everyone. This week being part of the VTech Voices team is allowing me to bring you a cool giveaway. Of course, you are going to have to do a bit of work to get it. First let's see what we are playing for: "OOOH! AAAH!" I'm not kidding when I say this VTech Reader is freaking awesome! Not only will you win one of those, you will get a "game" with it. Woo hoo! Here's what you need to do. You need to come up with your very own Family Reading Night. It's where the whole fam (or as many are at home) sit down & read together. Sort of like a Family Home Evening for those LDSers in the crowd (HOLLA!). I did this with my lil guy & my nephew just last night. We layed on my bed and they each took turns holding the reader & playing the games that come after the story. It got a little confusing for a bit because, well let's face it they are almost 4 & 4.5yrs old so they are learning about not yelling out an...
